 "Ania z Zielonego Wzgórza",

ponadczasowa powieść autorstwa Lucy Maud Montgomery

[recenzja w języku angielskim]

Lately, I have read the book titled “Anne of Green Gables“. The book was written by Lucy Maud Montgomery and was published in 1908. After reading the story for the first time, I admire it.

The story talks about very important things like how hard the kid’s life in an orphanage is. It shows that the family is very important especially for kids.

The main character is Anne. She was a teenage girl. She had red hair and was very skinny. She had vivid imagination and was very stubborn. When arrived at the Cuthberts house, she was very happy but then Marilla said to her that they wanted a boy. Next day the Cuthberts wanted to give her back to the orphanage, but they met miss Blewett. She said that she wanted to take Anne. Marilla didn’t want to give her to miss Blewett so she decided to keep her for a trial period.

In the book Anne many times showed that she had a temperament. She went to school and used to sit with her new friend, Diana. Through all the years she was competing with Gilbert Blythe who had better degrees than her. When Anne graduated school, she wanted to go to college, but unfortunately her caregiver Matthew died. Broken-hearted Anne decided to stay in Green Gables and become a teacher. Thanks to this she could help Marilla with her duties.

I really fell in love with this book. It can expand the imagination of many people. It keeps reader’s attention and provokes many touching feelings. While reading it I couldn’t wait for Anne's next adventures. I think that it is very beautiful book that can teach us a lot. I believe you will enjoy reading it and find many interesting stories that are not described here.
