Recenzja książki “Harry Potter i kamień filozoficzny”

autorstwa J. K. Rowling

[recenzja w j. angielskim]

"Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” is a book written by J.K. Rowling in England. This is the first novel in the seven-parts wizarding series. It has several genres, but the most important one is fantasy.

The story starts at Harry’s aunt’s house. Harry has got a scar on his forehead in the shape of lightning bolt. His aunt explained that the scar was resulted by the car accident in which he lost his parents. A few days later, Harry receives a letter saying that he has been accepted to Hogwart school of wizardry. His uncle and aunt are moving out with him because they don’t want him to go to that school. On the day of the main character's birthday the half-giant Hagrid came to their house and explained to Harry where and why his parents died and told him that he was a wizard. Hagrid took him from the house to Diagon Alley, where Harry bought himself some things for the magic school. Then they went to the 9 3/4 train station. In the train Harry met Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Later, when they were at Hogwart, the Sorting Hat chose one of the four houses (Slytherin, Gryffinfor, Hufflepuffle and Ravenclawn) for them. In the remaining part of the book the three friends experience lots of interesting adventures. If you want to know what those adventures were like and how they dealt with their problems, just read the series of seven novels!

In my opinion, this book is great for people with huge imagination. You can find things in it that are impossible in real world! I really enjoyed the amount of details in it and the way that J.K. Rowling put her whole heart in this book. And if you don’t like reading books, and this review has piqued your interest, you can watch the movie, which is just as good as the book!
